5Ghz Channel Map
Heat Map 5Ghz
As you can see from the heat maps, provided by NetSpot, there was a lot of interference from the other vendor's transmitters in the 5Ghz range (indicated in green). Coordination was necessary to either re-assign channels or have them switch to a 2.4Ghz radio.
It was here we discovered a lot of newer vendor equipment has WiFi technology that is enabled by default. so vendors didn't even realize they were broadcasting

The Main stage houses multiple vendors utilizing their own wireless transmitters, mostly in the 2.4Ghz range. The camera department, however, needed to stay in the 5Ghz realm, which made it challenging since we require so many access points. I was able to lower the frequency width to 20Mhz for all 5Ghz Access Points in order to carve off 3 channels for the camera dept.
The 6Ghz Frequency was reserved for the TikTok live stream of the events. The stream was up to an hour long, for each record, and required the ability to roam around the entire stage area without dropping frames from the iPhone they were using
It was because of that, I discovered that 6Ghz is still new, and not the greatest at client roaming. So we had to enable 5Ghz, as well, in order to give the streamer full access to the stage area.

Part 2: Stage Infrastructure

The dark fiber enters the studio from the other side of the lot. From there, it gets fed up to the 2nd FL, via 2 diverse paths, where we distribute to the rest of the production and stage
2nd FL Infra Map
Room 258-B is our 2nd FL switch that we use for storage servers . Room 258-C is our main client switch for internet and access to the storage servers for editors. Both switches have a CWDM Multiplexer in order to give us 40Gb/sec per switch from a pair of single mode fiber strands
The remaining switches on the 2nd FL are connected via a 20Gb Trunk to the 258-B, with the exception of the switch in the bullpen, and are used for various client needs

The engineering room is where the distribution switch lives for the 1st FL and the stage. From there, we branch out to every area of the stage providing general internet, file transfers, content streaming, and COMs

Part 4: Remote Rehearsal

A building was acquired by the client that was to be used for rehearsals. Unfortunately, there was no internet connectivity.
The good news is, our company had a facility close by with rooftop line of sight to the rehearsal hall and a diverse dark fiber connection to the studio lot where the live performances took place
